    Texture troubles. Linux Mint 16

    Hi.

I've faced a problem with textures. Run from Steam. See screenshots attached.
glxinfo | grep -i opengl gives
    Code:
OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Mobile
OpenGL core profile version string: 3.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 9.2.1
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 1.40
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
    OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 9.2.1
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
    OpenGL context flags: (none)
    OpenGL extensions:
    Full glxinfo is here.

    uname -a:
    Code:
    Linux 3.11.0-12-generic #19-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 9 16:20:46 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    Output of lshw.

Updated mesa to 10.1 and it became even worse.
It does not even start now.
glxinfo | grep -i opengl gives:
    Code:
OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Mobile
OpenGL core profile version string: 3.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 10.1.0-devel
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 1.40
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
    OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 10.1.0-devel
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
    OpenGL context flags: (none)
    OpenGL extensions:
    Full console crash log.

UPD. Managed to run with options -novid -window -noborder -w 1024 -h 768
I see rather good performance but still there is something wrong with textures.
    See attached.

No idea if you're the same guy but someone posted up the same issue and they are running mint 16 as well: http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/commen...lease_details/

What are your system specs? I assume you've gone through and updated any video drivers, verify game cache etc.

    "Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Mobile"
I'm amusing that is your CPU integrated Video Card. Here is a link to a solution, the person with the problem states that it worked, but linux is linux you have to try it on your system and pray.

    It should be like this:
    ~$: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
    ~$: sudo apt-get update
and if you don't have the latest distro update of your system do a
    $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
    One person also posted:
"This got fixed for me by upgrading to from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10, which has a newer Mesa with the patch that fixes the missing textures."
