    [Confirmed]Sticky napalm threshold

    In wc3 Dota, sticky napalm was triggered to 38 damage threshold for heroes, with a special exception of Firefly.
    In ability draft, however, it seems to trigger with any ability-based damage, resulting in insane damage from abilities such as Rot or Ion Shell, which definitely do not meet the 38 damage per tick threshold.

    Sticky Napalm

    Not sure if intended. Sticky napalm is applying bonus damage from other spells. I just played in a game with a hero that had sticky napalm, battle hunger and last word. After 2 stacks of napalm, you were basically dead because each tick of battle hunger/last word added napalm bonus damage.

    I personally found it absolutely hilarious, but my teammates raged to no end. Game ended 76-2 because 3 stacks of napalm and hunger is enough to outdamage fountain heal and they farmed us

    It is intended to apply bonus damage from all spells from the owning hero, though I agree with d07.RiV that I also recall some sort of minimum threshold to apply.

    There is indeed a threshold for it in WC3 Dota, which exists to prevent Sticky Napalm + Radiance. It also in some cases prevented Batrider's auto attacks from benefiting from the bonus however, so instead of having a threshold Valve just coded it so that Radiance specifically doesn't benefit. As a result now that this mode is it, we got more problems than just Radiance though.

    I finally got to play with napalm+ion shell, and I think it needs to be fixed asap as its enough to kill any hero at level 2 within a couple seconds with just 1 stack of napalm.

    Why fix it?
    AD is a 'fun' mode and the effect of Sticky Napalm is a
    Game feature of the spell. You can easily outpick a guy who picked
    Sticky Napalm in AD or even counter it (BKB).
    If you don't want to play the game how it is suposed to be, don't play
    AD

    that the problem. In normal game mode and dota1, sticky napalm has a threshold but not in AD for some reason.
    If you find spelling errors, you are free to take them.

    Do you mean the 10/15/20/25 damage dealt per skill use?
    I wouldn't call it a bug that damage over time triggers the 10/15/20/25 damage every
    tick. The funny thing is that it do not work with poison (debuffs) which are dealing
    damage over time.

    No, it prolly has no threshold in Dota2. I'd bet that it simply doesn't proc for radi and oov. Those are probably the only things which don't trigger it. Does oov or radiance trigger it for other heroes?

    All damage from Batrider's attacks, items and skills is amplified, except for damage from Radiance.
