    maybe something like that =)
The DotaTV shouldn't really work for pubs, atleast not in the small pubs. Maybe if there was a ranking system, so it would only stream top 5% players, or something like that.

i agree with #1 and #2... but to an extent, #1 is kind of a mute problem in some cases, because people will be streaming games live for quite some time, and their streams are usually delayed by a few-10 seconds at the most. So the problem isn't completely solved with a longer delay, though i do think its the first step.

#2, no need to keep around 6 minutes of data for rewinds, just add an icon clickable above a dead hero's corpse when spectating, and if you click on it as a spectator, you see a "Call of duty-esque" kill cam, that shows the last ten seconds before the person died from the perspective of the person who got the kill.

Think is about #2, that it isn't just kills, it can be jukes etc.

So now the delay is 2 minutes, still needs to be 6 minutes, tbh.

    -1 To rewind option.

Consider this as the circumstances -- The Caster misses FB, or something of importance, Caster then rewinds 30~ seconds. During that 30 seconds the game plays on and he misses something else, not yet noticing due to being 30 seconds behind. Once returning to Live Game status he realizes he has missed X kills, etc... so he rinses and repeats.

I personally think that, much like the players that play the game, the caster must be professional and not miss much action as it is their sole job to capture as much entertainment as possible for the viewers.

Agreed with both, but number 2 might be a little hard to code I THINK. O.o

EDIT: Aei, I think what he's suggesting is some kind of "add_delaytime" option for the caster to be able to rewind and catch something he lost, then he would continue watching the "rewinded game". Dunno if I'm correct tho.

You are correct, just like in Football/Soccer/IceHockey/*Insert Sport*, when something big just happend like a goal, they "rewind it" or whatever you want to call it.

Not afaik, there might be some. But you can't rewind a replay as it is now, since it's Valve making the game, but they should make it imo.
