    Known Bug List 2.0


    The bug list is categorized into heroes (including their spells, sorted after main attribute), items (basic and upgraded items) and mechanics (including neutrals). Every single bug listed in this list will use keywords in the title. Means only official Dota2 hero, spell, item, mechanic names will be used. No abbreviations.

    Browsing the list is best done by using CTRL+F and then search for the official word. Typos are always possible, so if you don't find something with for example searching for the spell name, then try the hero's name and look through the reports regarding that hero. If you find any typos, please notify a mod.
    If you want to search for entries specific to a spell or hero, search for the official full name and add a colon (:) right after the word (without space). That should bring you directly to the spell/hero/item you are looking for.

    Heroes and spells



    -Every hero and hero spell bug
    -Separated into STR, AGI, INT
    -Heroes sorted alphabetically, spells in ingame order
    -Sub spells bugs are listed under the main spell



    General hero bugs


    1. spells with no cast time can be cast directly after Naga's Song of the Siren or any banishment before aoe silence spells (e.g. Smoke Screen) take effect
    2. Rarely spells cannot be cast when they have adequate mana (probably caused by the HUD not showing decimals, so that e.g. 99.5 mana is shown as 100)
    3. Casting multiple spells on the hero portrait locks the camera on the hero
    4. Getting repositioned (and interrupted) during casting makes the cast exceed its cast range
    5. Linking spells don't update the link position when the linked target isn't visible
    6. The aoe cursor of single-targeted aoe spells (like sven's stun) does not appear when the mouse courser was on a unit upon selecting the spell
    7. When selecting a tree-targeting spell, then TAB to another unit, and then target a tree, the spell is not cast and error message appears, while doing the same with unit-targeted spells still makes the unit cast the spell on the target
    8. In rare cases, units do not stop moving when getting stunned, sliding on the ground until reaching the point they were ordered to move
    9. The channeling bars of channeling spells wrongly update when leveling up the spell mid-channeling, causing them to not display the correct channel duration
    10. Ability range indicators on enemies reveal what spell they have leveled up and eventually also on which level it is (if its cast range scales up)
    11. Cooldown reductions granted by talents stack additively with the reduction of Arcane Rune, instead of multiplicatively like Octarine Core
    12. The death sounds of several heroes repeat whenever regaining vision over their death locations
    13. Auras do not automatically prioritize the highest level source when multiple sources are nearby
    14. Reconnecting messes up cosmetic items of transformed heroes (cosmetic item bug)
    15. When expiring, transformation spells transform back all affected units back visually (visual bug)





    Quickcast bugs:
    1. Leveling up spells while having "Quick Caston Key Up" enabled casts the spell as well
    2. Leveling up spells while having "Quick Caston Key Up" enabled levels the spell twice
    3. Quickcast sometimes causes spells to target the wrong units, compared to regular cast

    Strength heroes




    Abaddon:
    Abaddon, The Lord Of Avernus

    1. Several tooltip issues and tweaks for all of Abaddon's spells (tooltip bugs/suggestions)
    2. Mace of the Chosen's particle effects are off-set, floating next to the weapon instead of being on it (cosmetic item bug)
    3. The long chin of Abaddon's Mistral mount is attached to the mount's throat/chest, so that it stretches during some animations (cosmetic item bug)
    4. The Dreadsteed of Avernus' item description is broken (cosmetic item bug)
    5. Abaddon doesn't hold the horse leads properly anymore, clipping through them with his hand (cosmetic item bug)


    Mist Coil:
    1. Abaddon does not get kill credits for enemies killed with Mist Coil while they are affected by Lotus Orb's Echo Shell, it denies them instead (gameplay bug)
    2. AoE Mist Coil triggers spell block and spell reflection of secondary targets (gameplay bug)
    3. AoE Mist Coil targets invisible enemies and enemies you have no vision over (gameplay bug)
    4. Mist Coil's projectile can be disjointed by allies (inconvenience)
    5. When Abaddon dies to an enemy Abaddon's Mist Coil, he uses his self-deny responses (audio bug)


    Aphotic Shield:
    1. Aphotic Shield malfunctions when the affected unit is also affected by Borrowed Time aura and/or by Ghostship Rum, loses capacity but doesn't block damage (gameplay bug)
    2. Aphotic Shield malfunctions when the affected unit is also affected by Living Armor, loses capacity but does not block damage (gameplay bug)
    3. Make Aphotic Shield damage nearby invisible/fogged units (gameplay suggestion)


    Curse of Avernus:
    1. Curse of Avernus' speed buff is placed on attack hit, instead of attack start (gameplay bug)
    2. Curse of Avernus' initial debuff ignores status resistance (gameplay bug)
    3. Curse of Avernus doesn't use its own level for the attack speed bonus, but instead uses the highest level present on the map (gameplay bug)


    Borrowed Time:
    1. Borrowed Time malfunctions against some spells which deal 2 damage instances on the same tick, but works fine against other such spells (gameplay bug)
    2. Borrowed Time cannot be shift-queued (gameplay bug)
    3. Borrowed Time heals from the health loss of Hearstopper Aura and False Promise, instead of ignoring them (inconsistancy)
    4. Borrowed Time aura's buff linger duration is set to 0, which causes it to malfunction in multiple ways (gameplay, performance and visual bugs)
    5. Borrowed Time passively activates upon taking 0 damage instances, instead of only reacting on actual damage taken (inconveniance)
    6. Negative attack damage causes Borrowed Time to make Abaddon lose health (gameplay bug)
    7. Add a visual effect to allies affected by Borrowed Time aura (suggestion)





    Alchemist:
    Razzil Darkbrew, The Alchemist

    1. Several tooltip note fixes and additions for Alchemist's spells (tooltip suggestion)
    2. Alchemist's default flask/bottle item shows only one flask in the hero loadout, instead of two bottles like how it is ingame and with all custom sets (visual glitch)
    3. The Flask of the Convicts from The Convicts' Trophies set has only one flask in Alchemist's left hand, instead of two flasks, one in each hand like all other custom sets (cosmetic item bug)
    4. Prisoner's Anchor is bugging out the ogre's neck (cosmetic item bug)


    Aghanim's Scepter Synth:
    1. The Aghanim's Scepter Synth buff from Alchemist doesn't carry over properly to illusions, illus copy the buff, but do not get the stats, hp and mana bonuses from it (gameplay bug)
    2. Make Aghanim's Scepter Synth buff turn unsellable Aghanim's Scepters sellable (inconvenience, suggestion)
    3. Alchemist thanks himself upon granting the Synth buff to self (sound/response rules bug)


    Unstable Concoction:
    1. Unstable Concoction's damage was not updated properly in 7.07d (gameplay bug)
    2. Unstable Concoction is blocked/reflected by Linken's Sphere/Lotus Orb of secondary targets (gameplay bug)
    3. Unstable Concoction projectile does not provide any vision (gameplay bug)
    4. Reflecting Unstable Concoction wihle brewing a concoction cancels the brewing, and makes the reflected concoction deal wrong amount of damage and stun duration (gameplay bug)
    5. Unstable Concoction applies its stun after applying the damage, so that Aeon Disk can't dispel it (gameplay bug)
    6. Unstable Concoction is not canceled properly for Rubick upon losing the spell while brewing (gameplay bug)
    7. Unstable Concoction cannot be thrown by Morphling when switching back and forth with Morph while brewing (gameplay bug)
    8. Unstable Concoction doesn't apply its aoe effect when it blows upon Alchemist while he is invulnerable or hidden (inconsistency)
    9. Unstable Concoction cannot target creep-heroes, but does hit them when within the area of effect. Make it affect all creeps within its area (inconsistency/suggestion)
    10. Unstable Concoction Throw's animation has not the ogre animated and is missing the Chemical Rage version (visual/animation bug)
    11. Unstable Concoction's brew sound cancels when the projectile of the previous cast hits its target (sound bug)
    12. Unstable Concoction's visual effect while brewing clashes with the flasks of cosmetic items and doesn't adapt to them (visual bug)
    13. Make Unstable Concoction show the stun/damage value above the primary target as a popup text, similar to how Chaos Bolt does it (suggestion)


    Greevil's Greed:
    1. Greevil's Greed does not work against the Tempest Double (gameplay bug)





    Axe:
    Mogul Khan, The Axe

    1. Several fixes and additions to Axe's ability & modifier tooltips (tooltip bugs/suggestions)
    2. Axe's rare idle animation plays during injured phase (animation bug)
    3. Axe's teleport animation does not loop (animation bug)
    4. Axe's responses upon getting hexed into a sheep don't work (audio bug)
    5. Axe's Aghanim's Scepter line is listed 4 times in the response rule (audio bug)
    6. Molten Claw's Berserker's Call custom effect does not work (cosmetic item bug)
    7. The Blood Chaser keeps spinning around itself during the idle and loadout animations, and heavily clips into the ground during injured animations (cosmetic item bug)
    8. Almond the Fondillo always uses Axe's icon in the shop, instead of showing whatever hero who can equipped it is selected (cosmetic item bug)
    9. Loading Screen of the Snowpack Savage is missing an item icon (cosmetic item bug)
    10. Suggestions for some unused responses of Axe (audio suggestion)


    Berserker's Call:
    1. Berserker's Call's and Winter's Curse taunt malfunctions when affected by multiple taunts and one of them expire (gameplay bug)
    2. Berserker's Call doesn't cause affected units to try to attack Axe when he's invisible, allowing them to move away (gameplay bug)
    3. Berserker's Call animations don't cancel upon canceling cast (animation bug)
    4. When casting Berserker's Call, Rubick uses Axe's pre-cast shouting sound (audio bug)


    Battle Hunger:
    1. Battle Hunger's movement speed per curse disappears upon losing the spell as Rubick (gameplay bug)
    2. Battle Hunger & Berserker's Call animations don't cancel upon canceling cast (animation bug)


    Counter Helix:
    1. Counter Helix does not use a regular cooldown and is therefore unaffected by cooldown reducing/increasing effects and doesn't show cooldown on its icon upon proccing (gameplay bug)
    2. Counter Helix has no visual feedback when proccing while hexed/animation-frozen (visual bug)
    3. Allow Counter Helix to proc on attacks from buildings and wards (gameplay suggestion)


    Culling Blade:
    1. Culling Blade's kill threshold is off by 1 on each level (gameplay bug)
    2. Culling Blade can target Wraith Delay ghosts without killing them (gameplay bug)





    Beastmaster:
    Karroch, The Beastmaster

    1. Beastmaster is completely disabled in Ability Draft, instead of having Wild Axes, Inner Beast and Primal Roar enabled (Ability Draft bug)

    Wild Axes:

    3. Enemy Wild Axes float in the air when they entering the fog of war (visual bug)

    Call of the Wild

    3. The stun and flail animations of custom boar and hawk models do not loop (cosmetic item animation bug)

    5. The Anunkasan custom Hawk model has lighting issues in its portrait and its wings flap the wrong direction in its idle animation (cosmetic item bug)

    Primal Roar:

    5. Primal Roar's knockback debuff is not visible in the HUD (visual bug)

    4. A part of Bristleback's lower jaw is glued to his upper jaw, so that it stretches while talking (visual bug)
    5. The Blastforge Exhaler is missing mouth sync (cosmetic item bug)
    6. The Blastforge Exhaler has its mouth completely glued together on the inside (cosmetic item bug)
    7. The Charge of the Wrathrunner set is missing some back faces (cosmetic item bug)

    3. Viscous Nasal Goo's overhead counter cannot show a number higher than 9, so that 10 stacks are not shown by it (visual bug)
    4. Add a creep impact sound to Viscous Nasal Goo, to combat the issue of the long sound being spammed when hitting a lot of creeps (audio suggestion)


    Quill Spray:


    Bristleback:


    Warpath:
    1. Warpath does not grant stacks to Bristleback's illusions when Bristleback himself already has max stacks (gameplay bug)
    2. Warpath doesn't grant stacks to illusions under Bristleback's control which aren't from Bristleback (gameplay bug)
    3. Warpath stacks on illusions don't show their duration on the status buff, and appear like permanent buffs (visual bug)





    Centaur Warrunner:
    NessajBradwarden, The Centaur Warrunner

    1. Centaur Warrunner only uses one of his two death animations (animation bug)
    2. Centaur's rare idle animation plays during injured phase (animation bug)
    3. Centaur's beard clips into his chest and with several shoulder slot items (visual bug)
    4. The icon of Warlord of Hell Barding does not match the actual item (cosmetic item bug)
    5. Many of Centaur Warrunner's cosmetic items have missing backfaces on visible areas of the items (cosmetic item bug)
    6. Chaos Chosen set has some clipping issues with itself (cosmetic item bug)

    3. Retaliate's attack counter is not placed upon learning the spell, so that casting it before getting attacked doesn't place the buff or play the cast sound (audio/visual bug)


    Stampede
    1. Stampede applies its slow after applying the damage, so that Aeon Disk can't dispel it (gameplay bug)
    2. Stampede's cast animation overrides the animations of Hoof Stomp and Double Edge (animation bug)
    3. Add a distinct visual effect to allies buffed by aghs upgraded Stampede (visual suggestion)
    4. Add a visual effect to non-hero units buffed by Stampede (visual suggestion)
    5. Give Stampede's impact a unique sound, instead of using the same sound as Greater Bash (audio suggestion)





    Chaos Knight:
    Nessaj, The Chaos Knight

    1. Chaos Knight's spawn animation has 9 empty frames at the beginning (animation bug)
    2. Chaos Hound Set's item pieces are not marked as set pieces (cosmetic item bug)
    3. The mount of the Chaos Hound set makes hoofstep sounds, despite not being a horse/having paws instead of hooves (cosmetic item bug)
    4. Blade of Burning Turmoil & Cudgel of Baleful Reign use default weapon particles, instead of having them disabled (cosmetic item bug)
    5. Blade of Chaos Incarnate and Hellfire Edge don't use the default weapon particles, despite being designed to support them (cosmetic item bug)
    6. Many of Chaos Knight's cosmetic items have missing backfaces on visible areas of the items (cosmetic item bug)
    7. Several fixes and additions to his ability & modifier tooltips (tooltip suggestions)


    Chaos Bolt:
    1. Chaos Bolt's stun duration display over the target is inaccurate (visual bug)

    General item bugs


    1. Recipes show as completed items on the scoreboard
    2. Items with multiple levels are always shown as level 1 on the Scoreboard
    3. Items from player who got an abandon from inactivity and then disconnect from the game can't be sold and their gold doesn't get shared
    4. Items will combine into undesired combinations if all components are present, even if desired item was selected directly in shop
    5. While dead, items in the inventory can be put into the stash and then dropped from there
    6. Items are not combining sometimes
    7. Dragging and moving an item from inventory to a non-hero unit or another item doesn't drop the item and gives "Target can't take items" error message
    8. Combining items doesn't prioritizes items that are in the heroes inventory over items that are on the ground
    9. Dropping items on unpathable points doesn't drop the item there, but drops it at the next pathable point
    10. Combined items which need one component multiple times and one of that component is in your inventory already, doesn't complete the item when trying to buy the whole item with one click
    11. Swapping heroes disables your items which you bought before the swap
    12. Allies can destroy sharable non-consumable item (Ring of regen, sage's mask, void stone, ring of health, perseverence)
    13. Quick Buy recognizes all item recipes at the same time, all the time, so when an item would complete something else with your current items, it will not be removed once you buy the piece. It should only recognize the pieces you need for the recipe item you pulled in there.
    14. Cant buy items when having player controlled units selected
    15. Items in stash can't be sold when the main hero isn't selected
    16. When having an allied consumable and an own consumable item of the same kind in the inventory, and all other slots full as well, buying items at the side/secret shop drop the item on the ground, instead of preventing buying due to full inventory
    17. Delay causes items brought from the secret/side lane to drop on the ground
    18. CTRL castable items have a too long cast range
    19. Items bought while dead can be sold even after their 10 seconds sell-back timer passes
    20. Locked items combine into other items in the inventory of illusions upon summoning them
    21. Disassembling an item while having just enough slots for all it sparts drops one of the components to the ground, leaving one inventory slot empty
    22. When opening the shop menu while within side lane/secret shop range, and then getting out of range, trying to buy items from the main shop tab does not work until the shop gets re-opened
    23. Quickbuy considers items inside hero-clone inventories, so that it may not display all component when the clone has that item
    24. Stashed items cannot be locked while having creep-heroes selected (UI bug)

    1. Pressing on Tango, then tabbing to Spirit Bear/Warlock Golem/Primal Split spirits/Familliars and then targeting a tree makes your summon move to that tree

    Mechanics




    Stats:

    Experience/Leveling:
    1. Leveling up a spell while one cast of the spell is still active, scales that one cast up to the new level instead of continueing on the level it was cast
    2. Leveling up spells while having "Quick Cast on Key Up" enabled casts the spell as well
    3. Leveling up spells while having "Quick Cast on Key Up" enabled levels the spell twice
    4. Leveling up talents while having "Quick Cast on Key Up" enabled also casts the spell when using 1/2 as spell hotkeys


    Charge-based spells:
    1. Infinite charges exploit (hidden thread)
    2. Time Dilation and Chakra Magic don't interact with charge-based spells properly
    3. Supernova, Rearm, -wtf command and -refresh command don't replenish charges of charge-based spells

    10. Petrify does not deal damage to spell immune enemies, despite it piercing spell immunity and dealing physical damage
    11. Hurl Boulder is not reflected back to the Mud/Shard Golem by spell reflection while spell immune (gameplay bug)
    12. Petrify still goes on cooldown in free spells/wtf mode (inconvenience)
    13. Petrify is missing its silence check upon cast, so it ignores silences when getting silenced during the cast animation (gameplay bug)

    16. Vhoul Assassin's Envenomed Weapon applies its debuff after applying the attack damage, so that Aeon Disk can't dispel it (gameplay bug)

    Buildings:
    1. Towers check if their target got out of range at the start of their attack, instead of periodically
    2. Rounding error with Backdoor regen causes buildings to have less health than before occasionally





    Player controlled:

    Summoned or dominated units:
    1. Player Controlled Units have no "leash timer" when auto-attacking nearby enemies, they also dont return to their original position
    2. Summons can spawn in inaccessible areas


    Illusions:
    1. Enemy illusions owned reveal their skill build
    2. Models with particle effects are distinguishable from their illusions
    3. Illusion minimap icons dont update upon reconnect
    4. Illusion are not using Heroes active level/state of Transformations and Armlet, but the current level of the spell
    5. Illusions play their birth animation for a split second
    6. Illusion damage isn't credited to the owner of the illusion killcard, if the illusion is based on a different hero than the owner
    7. Illusions don't properly copy the level of abilities when the hero had a sub-spell active which has only 1 level





    Others




    UI:
    1. The small menu which opens upon right-clicking an item in the inventory blocks any unit orders while it is up, and for a short while after closing it, and it also delays item selling


    Sounds and visuals:
    1. Buff/Debuff visual effects are replayed each time unit gets out of the fog
    2. The color of the mouse-over glow on units is reversed when having enemy selected


    Command Issues and control groups:
    1. Ordering spells in quick succession (or shiftqueueing them) on heroes like invoker (and mb rubick) can lead to casting the wrong spells
    2. Queued commands get canceled by auto-attack logic
    3. Several other shift-queue issues
    4. Control Groups issues when having multiple units of the same type
    5. Issuing multiple Orders (e.g. poof) on the very same spot on the minimap in quick succession ignores some of the orders
