Stop doing that. Not every hero needs a name. He's a sentient star, do you really think he cares how mortals would call him? Same goes for heroes like Enigma and Chaos Knight.
    Possible solution to foreigners issue
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war.

Because he dives like Icarus from the Mythology? Why would his own skills wear his own name? Like he invented them or something... Please also Icarus Sun Ray and Icarus Supernova...

Well the Guardian Wisp has been called "Io", yet it's the "embodiment of the mystery of the universe", and what it is actually is still quite unknown, yet it has a given name. Same with Phoenix's great great great great great great granddaddy Ezalor.

Wisp's name is most likely given by scholars who mistook it for "the twinking of a divine eye", while Ezalor and the old man's form overall are just a cover.

We are talking about a star turned sentient that came to the world of Dota 2 to learn. Phoenix not having a name at this point makes perfect sense.
Remember, remember the 1st of November

Lazyness. Not to mention the lack of bugfixes, and the amount of new ones with each new content added

    Credits to Phoenix.

From what I've noticed, if the hero's name doesn't show up in his/her bio, then his/her proper name is simply removed or he/she isn't given a proper name at all. Take Anti-mage for example, he was once Magina, but it was removed because nowhere in his bio does it state that his actual name is Magina.

Nature's Prophet also wasn't named in his bio, yet originally his name was Tequioa. It's since been removed because of the same reasons.

A partial example, but Crystal Maiden once had the name Rylai Crestfall, her surname has since been removed partially because there is no mention of Crestfall anywhere in her bio, and because her sister Lina doesn't have a surname.

Likewise, Chaos Knight was Nessaj in DOTA 1, but since the name Nessaj isn't in his bio...

EDIT: I liked Phoenix's name. Icarus was fitting for him and somehow complements his lore as a curious young star perfectly.
