How to bind keys to do the same as shift/ctrl?

I want KP_4 button to function identically like shift, and KP_6 button to function like ctrl. Is there any way to do this? Preferably by some console command, not external apps. I tried
    Code:
    bind kp_4 shift
but it doesn't work. Thank you for any help.

    bind kp_4 "+sixense_left_shift"

it works on windows, thank you, but on linux i got the errors like:

    Unknown command: -sixense_left_shift
    Unknown command: +sixense_left_shift
    Unknown command: -sixense_left_shift
    Unknown command: +sixense_left_ctrl
    etc...

Adding "+dota_sixense_enabled 1" to launch options didn't help either. I guess there's no support for sixense on linux. Is there any other command that functions like shift/ctrl?

i also tried this in linux:

    Code:
    xmodmap -e "keycode 83 = Shift_L"
    xmodmap -e "keycode 85 = Control_L"
but it works for other apps except dota 2...
