    Workshop tools won't launch.

Everytime I launch the workshop tools it wont open. It shows that I am playing in on my steam profile for a couple seconds but then that goes away and nothing ends up happening. I don't even get the windows error like people in the other thread are getting, simply nothing happens.

My specs are win 8.1 64 bit.
AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series GPU.
When I run dxdiag it says I am using DirectX11.

I have installed the DLC and following that I installed the workshop tools alpha.
I am opted into the beta.

Things I have done to try and remedy the situation so far:
    1. Restart steam
    2. Restart computer
    3. Opt in and out of the beta multiple times
    4. Updated windows (others in another thread said it fixed their problem)
    5. Run the workshop tools as administrator
    6. Removed the dota_ugc file then verified the cache essentially doing a re-install of the DLC.

If anyone knows whats wrong please let me know.

When I try to run dota2cfg, it always opens up WerFault.exe which I prompt to dump the error.
Which is: Symbol search path is: *** Invalid ***

Even after the new patch that fixes the crash with FMA3 supported CPUs my workshop tools still will not launch. Attempting to launch produces a dump file which contains:

Perhaps this is an issue with Windows 8? Anyone with Windows 8 that has run this successfully?
