[Confirmed] A reconnected player cannot see earlier Eyes In The Forest effects

    Summary

If a player disconnects and reconnects, they can no longer see the visual effect of Eyes In The Forest spells that were cast earlier. (They can still see new ones, though.)

    Reproduction

    Choose any hero
Get a gem with cheat -item item_gem
Create an enemy Treant Protector, with -createhero treant enemy
Give him a Scepter, with -givebots item_ultimate_scepter
Have him cast Eyes on a tree
Approach the tree with your gem to verify you can see the effect
    Now disconnect and reconnect

    Result

You cannot see effects from Eyes that were already cast. This is potentially quite gameplay-impacting, if you are actively looking for enemy Eyes In The Forest effects.

The marker on the minimap still shows up, so the client does have the right information, it just isn't using it.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but what about Bloodrite ? Is that visible after a recon ?

Maybe we can test if we pause the game.

This issue also applies to spectating, incidentally.

    This is still an issue.

Additionaly, I don't see any indicator on the minimap like the OP suggests, so it's probably more broken than before.
