    Why?
Would you have let him mid? Would you want to loose? Seriously, this game has to many hippies that is like.. "oh man world peace, smoke a join with me everyone has the same worth man.. everyone is equal no matter if he is a murderer, bad at dota, a womanbeater or whatevs..

    Seriously. Get a grip.
lol But we DotA players are those hippies. We are pretty much the nicest of the DotA-like communities out there. Even though everyone keeps saying different stuff. Can't cope with that and need to take silly pubs serious? Go find a team and play against other teams. Their you have your serious play :P

    Make a feature that:
"Records your stats for a game"

After that, they are only private.

Stats is not revealed anywhere else.

But they already have that, don't they? (Just not the KDA part)

What I meant is a more detailed kind of stats including averages/hero of kda, wards, gpm, xpm and so on but that are private. It does involve however a lot of stat recording for every player.

We must go deeper. If, IF the stats were "Private" then what would they entail? Who would be able to look at these stats? Only friends? Enemies? People in the match with you? GM's? ONLY YOU? And if so, what would these stats accomplish? If we have all of the above mentioned stats, but we are the only ones able to view our stats, what will that accomplish? How will that help our game play?

You are assuming that 99.9% of the players of ANY AoS game are here to learn, try, and get better at the game and are ready and willing to use all of the assets (Stats) at their disposal to accomplish this goal. And, I am sorry that I have to tell you this, but that is a pipe dream at best. At least 50% of the current community is made up of trolls to varying degrees. Maybe 15-20% of the rest are players with good heads on their shoulders, capable of working with their teams and figureing out how to fix their problems and are interested in getting better. The other 30-35% might as well be trolls, because they want to "have fun" and that is their intention, but they have no intention to actually learn the game or try. If they die they immidiatly quit or rage because they want there to be a reset button. Stats are going to cause serious problems if you try and run them along the lines of HoN, which is what your trying to do.

Says the guy who named himself after a hero from HoN. No offense dude, but HoN was based OFF dota, not the other way around. The stats there were an entirely different take from Dota stats. And HoN stats failed and promoted more trolling and griefing than anything else because HoN GM's are the equivalent of schoolyard bullies during the week they get to be hall monitor.

Absolutely right! That's why W/L is the only stats needed!

The bottom of the line is, bringing in K/D stats has so many negative effects it isn't funny.

People kill steal with heroes that don't need kills.
People stop trying very early in a tough game because they don't want to damage their K/D.
Players who play only carries look like much better players than those who play only support (A lot of the time, its the support players who get the carries through the early stages of the game successfully.)
New players get their failures broadcast to every other player in every game they play.
In short, it promotes everything that is bad in the MOBA genre: Arrogance, trolls, killstealing, new players never becoming great players, rage... It is all magnified by K/D stats.

    This, so very much this.

Please do not include this. The "Goal" should be to have a good time, with MMR working to fix you up with equal opponents and allies to give you the most enjoyable experience, and just keep getting better and better, refining your play, maybe form a team and start going to tournaments, not to stroke yourself watching your stats, flaunting them off, and taunt and tease those with bad ones
