    Recycling Half life sounds?

I was just curious if this was a permanent sound but when you put items together you guys obviously used the sound from half life when you use the energy chargers for health and armor. Is this a tribute sound like that Willhelm scream? Or are you still looking for a sound for this action?

It's similar, but not necessarily the same.

Those are placeholders, as far as I know. They will be replaced later.

Yes, Valve sounds are almost the same in every game, just like the Source engine. Personally, I don't like it, i prefer every game to have its own 'originality', but I doubt Valve will care to change that.

I rememebr hearing a half-life sound in one of my games, can't remember exactly where. May have been an access denied sound.

Actually i think it's an ability that has no points in it yet :P

I hope they don't change these.
