    Atropa actually sounds more feminine than Atropos.

    You'd have to clarify it with a natural Greek speaker, but I believe -os is used to end words that can be either masculine or feminine whereas -a is for feminine words.

    I think that's the equivalent of someone referring to a car as "she". The type of pronoun that just gets used regardless of actual gender.

    That makes no sense, Bane isn't a vehicle like a car or boat. The fact that Valve actually do have another hero who is described in the gender neutral "it" suggests that it is intentional that Bane is masculine - not like it makes much difference.
