[Fixed?] Hex being canceled by Rage and Time Lapse

    Repro:
    1) Get any hero, buy Scythe of Vyse.
    2) Get friend to pick Weaver or N'aix.
    3) Try to Hex Weaver or N'aix, and at the same time, ask your friend to activate Time Lapse/Rage.

    Result:
If done at the right timings, Scythe of Vyse will go into cooldown, but Hex will not affect Weaver or N'aix.
This means that Hex has effectively been canceled by Time Lapse/Rage despite it supposedly having taken effect.

    Expected Result:
From my understanding, Hex from Scythe of Vyse is an instantaneous effect. There is no projectile whatsoever.
However, what happened here is that Weaver/Naix has the ability to cancel Hex at the right moment, effectively making Hex useless at times.
He's the hero this community deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt his identity, because he can take it, because he's not our hero. He's a silent buffer, a watchful nerfer. An IceFrog.

Give a match ID (if possible) so people don't have to bother testing something that can't be done so easily.

You don't need a friend. With a little experience with test command, it's easy to follow the repro steps yourself. If you actually tried it and coulnd't repro, then the matchID would be requisite. It's still useful but not really needed, you don't have to shoot him down when he has valid repro steps.

I'm not in a position to test it myself or I would.

my thought is that there's a very small window after the cast point of the spells that they can be hexed but then "cancel" it because the time lapse or rage is already happening. It would probably be less than a tenth of a second or so though.

I am not shooting him down, that would be "Match ID", but it is quite annoying to test out by oneself so I asked for a match ID so I don't have to face the frustration.

in this case i would prefer a match id too, since i almost exclusively test things on my own.

I realized I kind of contradicted myself by the end lol. It probably is hard to test, but not impossible and the match ID would likely be the fastest way of proving whether it's doable or not.

are these casts not instant too? in this case i would think its intended because these 2 spells simply make them magic immun = rage or let them move through time to negate any effect recently taken = time lapse.

Right, but that implies that there is a period where you can both cast it and it doesn't cause its effect. OP thinks there isn't. I think there might be but I have no idea.

being disabled by hex should cancel any ongoing casts. afaik there wasn't a way to dodge hex in warcraft 3 dota and there still shouldn't be.
