    [Confirmed] Fatal Bonds doesn prioritize heroes

    1. sometimes enemy heroes are within the fatal bonds range, but fatal bonds still ignores the enemy hero and jump to a creep.

    2. sometimes if there are more than 1 enemy heroes within fatal bonds range, only one hero will get hit by fatal bonds. and the rest of the fatal bonds goes to creeps.

    Intended. Fatal Bonds will link 6 -units- together, meaning it will try and link units regardless of what they are.

    I investigated this issue recently at Playdota.

    The way fatal bonds chooses targets is supposed to be random, but in DotA it *kind* of prioritizes heroes (it uses a hardcoded function).
    It seems that they didn't investigate the behaviour and just implemented true random. Which TBH seems the most logical way to proceed.

    Fatal Bonds now links the closest units to the initial target, instead of randomly choosing targets in its AoE. Relevant?

    This change is about linking closest targets instead of random targets in the aoe.

    Still doesn't prioritize heroes (like WR's shackle). It should check whether there are heroes to bond, then bond creeps.

    I have tested it. It all depends on position of target and enemies around it. If creep is closer => creep will be bounded. If hero is closer => hero will be bounded. Because there is no 6.79 dota 1 i can' check if it still prioritizes heroes or not.
