    [Confirmed] impale cannot throw units into the air under song of the siren

    Summary:
    Impale(Lion's and later Nyx's) and some other spells(ravage, burrowstrike and torrent) do not send enemy units into the air while they are under the effect of song the the siren.

    Repro Steps:
    1. Pick naga siren and lion for example.
    2. Level up Song of the Siren and Impale.
    3. Sleep an enemy unit by SotS. Make sure SotS does not end prematurely.
    4. Cast impale to the unit by targeting the ground near it, as the invulnerable unit cannot be directly targeted.

    Result:
    Impale does completely nothing.

    Expected Result:
    Unit should be thrown into the air, with no damage and stun since invulnerability. (Dota 1 behavior to be precise)

    The point is if u stop SotS before enemy unit lands, the target will be "chain stunned" and also damaged. This will effectively stop the use of BKB and other escape mechanism.

    The unit is invulnerable, why should this work?

    interesting, id be interested to hear feedback on this.

    What about non dmg spells like silence, / orchid do they work?

    ^i dont think so, as u cannot target invulnerable unit

    Empale is supposed to make unit "go to the sky" even if invul in dota1. And since damage are done only when the unit fall, it is a pretty strong combo (especially with tide) to make them jump, and then cancel the song. So yes, unless intended fix, it should also work in dota2:

    Just tested it and invulnerable units in wacraft 3 are NOT lifted in the air.
    EDIT: It doesn't matter if it's an active invulnerability like Avatar or the passive one. It simply does not work -> intended.

    ^u must make some mistakes. i am not sure if u correctly understand the word "invulnerability" here. it seems u r referring to magic immunity. of course magic immunity will prevent spells like impale.
