    Permanent invisibility and disable interaction

    Summary:

Permanent invisibility (i.e. riki's invis) behaves differently with disables between WC3 DotA and Dota 2.

    Repro steps:

Much easier to show in a video, but here's one example:

    1) pick riki, level to 6 and skill permanent invisibility
    2) -createhero drow enemy and put 1 level into silence
    3) cast silence on riki using drow

    Result:

Riki is revealed for 3 seconds only

    Expected result:

Riki is revealed for 3 seconds, and fades for a following 3 seconds (I.e. 6 seconds total visibility)

Basically permanent invisibility is just revealed while under the effects of silence, hex and chronosphere, where it should be as if riki just attacked when they end (i.e. maximum reveal time = hex/silence duration + permanent invisibility fade time, so lvl 1 silence + lvl 1 riki ulti = 3 + 3 = 6 seconds total reveal), refer to video for a more obvious representation (sorry it's so long)

Also a random note, impale skills should also reveal permanent invisibility (NOT most aoe stuns though), so this would include skills live ravage as well.

Skills like naga net and rhasta's shackle are working as expected, and the same as WC3 DotA.

for us who aren't testing it, how does it behave in dota2?

As shown in the video, after the WC3 part finishes it shows it, but basically (as I said) these effects just REVEAL permanent invisibility for their duration (think of it as if they apply a dust debuff for their duration)

Atleast bother watching the video before asking questions that are answered.

Anyways nice find, the fade time in DotA 1 is "paused" for the duration of the disable and the fade timer only begins after returning to the normal state.

This is probably yet another consequence of removing pause effects in dota2.

It is not due to the pause effect (apart from potentially on Chronosphere). Silence does not use any pause mechanics.
