    Conflict between Dragon Knight in-game textures and workshop textures

    Subj.

    Top: Workshop textures.
    Botom: In-game textures.

    You are using alien swarm model viewer to preview DK model? i guess you are, because AS SDK messes up mask 1 and using blue channel (metalness mask) wil supress color up to pitch black. Just use ingame compiler to view your items correctly or wait for Dota 2 SDK

    I think his point is that the in-game model for DK has black portions where they should obviously be gold, which is completely true and really quite frustrating.

    That's exactly the issue that i answered. Don't use Alien Swarm SDK

    The in-game model for DK has black parts of his armour. As in, he appears Dota 2 with black instead of gold. How that can possibly be an issue with a model viewer, unless the Alien Swarm viewer is the one used in-game?

    Dude, it has nothing to do with SDK.

    i was put off by the model viewer screenshots. Anyway, i double checked and true ingame files have black instead of gold on the diffuse texture. I don't see what's the problem then?

    Anyway, alien swarm model viewer has that bug with metalness layer anyway

    You may also want to check out the goddamn thread title and first post, too.
    The problem is described there, i believe.
