    Desired fields in GetMatchDetails

    I would like to see

    skill_level added to GetMatchDetails (It was in GetMatchHistory but appears to have been removed)
    player_name added back in to GetMatchDetails
    game_mode (rd, ap, etc)

    This info is obtainable from the replay files - but it won't be easy.

    Parsing replay files from server end is really painful compared to getting data off from webapi. It is not an option for most of us, unfortunately.

    Well it is unreasonable to expect the Valve devs to expose everything.

    Yes, but not unreasonable to request them to expose more than they are. No one asked them to expose everything.

    You need to also realise that the details exposed in GetMatchDetails are the same ones viewable ingame on the screen where you can download a replay - why would they need to show the number of wards placed and when/where they were?

    Again, as I've said - if they do it, great! But exposing and tracking this information takes up bandwidth and storage space, and has limited usefulness to the actual DotA client.

    Why do you keep shitting all over everyone's suggestions/requests/questions? I've read only 5 posts from you and you're already the most annoying person I've come across in a while.

    I agree with the skill level part. If I want to determine skill levels from matches, I have to do 3 times the requests than I would normally have to do.
