All of the players in my match some 10 minutes ago received a hefty amount of lag, the red counter on top of the right screen appeared, but in the end only 1 player got disconnected.

Then, a second wave of lag came and I got disconnected too.

Cannot reconnect, receive: "Warning. Disconnected from Server. Unable to establish connection to the server" every time. Tried restarting both Dota 2 and Steam.

    EDIT: Server, EU West.

Valve Please help us Philippine players to get the lower ping. It was good last time but after some recent patches our ping got higher from 40-90 to 290-360. Please respond i have been playing games with these kinds of high pings and im not comfortable with it (like everyone) pleeeeeeeaaaase!!

The servers are still not fixed. This has been going on for weeks now. Long queues, 10/10 ready and no game, games where people disconnect apparently randomly throughout, games with random lag, the red text disconnection (force restart of steam to reconnect), servers 'dropping' the games and them disappearing with no records, etc etc.

Just now we had the absolute worst example of people being disconnected which seems exactly like what happens in some other games when someone is forcibly packet flooding a server to kick people off. Eventually three of our team were missing whilst their whole team had reconnected, so they unpaused repeatedly and essentially cheated their way to victory.

    Please fix the servers.

Absolutely terrible performance for EU West, Luxembourg servers all week, with everyone piniging 100-160 on servers, where previously it was 20-40.
Today however it is even worse with 300 ping

A few weeks ago for a short time there were heavy issues on the useast server where games were unplayable and the game stopped every 1-2 minutes for every player. it continued shortly after but this happened a lot, also finding matches was a pain in the butt and no servers were found etc, i think valve was on holidays or something so this problem lasted a few days, at least thats what people were saying.
anyway, since this massive problem got fixed a new one arose for me.
since then my ping on useast servers doubled to unplayable levels.
1 out of 4 match servers are ok and i have my usual ping, but mostly the ping is so high that there is a huge delay.
    this wasnt the case before.
i think the tech staff knows the reason and i dont need an explanation i just want it fixed the way it was before.
    thanks bye.

I have a question regarding my latency values towards my chosen game server region (Western Europe) for the dota 2 game.

First of all, i live in the Netherlands, my ISP is called UPC and i have up to 100mb/s download speed and up to 10 mb/s upload speed. also i have a Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
network card. And at home im using primarily only one desktop PC wired to my ISP modem with a CAT-5 ethernet cable. when i test my connection/down- and upload values on My ISP's own site i always reach the full before mentioned values, with a latency of ~12 ms. I also did a test on www.speedtest.net with approximately the same results (when choosing a city closest to my hometown). Next i did a second test on www.speedtest.net and then picking Luxembourg as destination test region (the same city where the Dota 2 Western europe region server is located). And im getting the same up and download speed values. but my ping increases to ~20ms.

Now when i test my in-game dota 2 connections by using the -console commands: "ping" and "net_graph 1" I see much higher latency values then i suppose to be getting, besides the fact that sometimes i seem to notice slight "Lag" during gameplay moments. even the latency values between the 2 commands differ.
Namely: the "ping" command usually displays an amount of 100-105 ms and the "net_graph 1" command displays amounts of 50-85 ms. Since the Latter values sound more stable to me, what about the ping values from the "ping" command? which command is the most accurate in testing ping values? and more importantly what is the cause of my higher-then-suppose-to-be latency values?. to assist to solve this matter, i performed a tracert to my assigned game server when i was playing a practise game (beware of the few dutch words, it's all about the numbers anyways

Are these values normal? and do i suppose to get time out hops from hop 10-30?
If this suggests a problem , are we able to conclude the culprit? as in the Dota 2 server/ or my ISP?. I like to have some light shed on this matter, and if it's possible or impossible to see lower latency values in the near future. thanks in advance.

    I don't understand
I ping with my CMD before game to ensure the ping is low then I start a game(a private lobby actually) to test if the in-game ping is low but in the game the ping always 300 or more while in my CMD it returns 60
can you tell me how to ping dota2 server? oh and one more thing, could this problem be fixed? thx
