    Hand of Midas missing a projectile (with travel speed)

    Summary:

    Hand of Midas is instantly killing the targets on cast, instead of having a projectile that should be killing the targeted unit on hit.


    Reproducement Steps:
    1. Pick any hero
    2. Get a Hand of Midas
    3. Cast the Hand of Midas on a non-allied creep


    Result:

    The creep gets killed instantly. The regular and bonus gold/exp is granted instantly.


    Expected Result:

    A projectile should get launched towards the targeted unit, with a specific travel speed. The targeted creep should be killed once when it gets hit by the projectile, and then the regular and the bonus gold/exp should be given.


    It could be done on W3 DotA to be like this, so there is no reason to think of this as an intended change... Even if so, then we should be considering this as a [Bug] until W3 DotA gets fixed.

    Haha yeah, I think Valve can come up with a cool effect for the touch of Midas. But pardon me saying that projectile's kinda slow in the WC3.

    I mean, it could be a faster projectile with some visual effects, but not instant without any visuals like it is now. It would be a small addition anyway.

    Giving it a projectile was kinda buggy, it allowed you to Kill + Get the bonus gold on the creep if you timed it right. I think it's good as it is now.

    I don't understand why you are discussing stuff like these.
    Try to think like this before making such comments: "Could the current state on Dota 2 be implemented on W3 DotA?"
    If yes, then we aren't supposed to make such discussions...

    i saw thread about this at least twice in gameplay bugs, but no one added it to the list

    If you go back a while in the updates, you'll see that this was specifically changed from DotA 1 on purpose. If you wish for it to be added back, playdota.com

    i think it's instant to prevent the abuse. i mean... well, i dont know, maybe should consider it as a bug first till someone tells us it's not
