Thread: Fps drop, why dota 2 lags, here's the reason, now valve you fix it

    Anyone knows if vsync or limit the frames rate fix it?

    I tried everything and it still spikes/lags.
    Before this patch, I have never had any problems with the overall smoothness of the game. Now my fps is not stable at all and even if it seems to be stable at times, the game itself lags/spikes/dunno what to call it. It seems pretty strange.

    NVIDIA 525M with the latest drivers.

    fps drop, and random lags after winter(20 december) patch \ update.

    Amd 3.8Ghz
    9600GT

    this already happens to me since diretide, and with the greevilling patch now it gets even worse, please fix this asap

    I have random drops to 5-10fps for ~3 minutes each since the Slark patch (I think). The game runs at 60fps the rest of the time. I play mostly KotL because of this.

    lol mate i know how it feels since i also do that.. but since diretide, so far i think i might be the first to get this problem because i got it since diretide patch, anyone here suffer from this fps drop before diretide patch?

    since OP already pointed out the faulty part, i messed around with cl_updaterate, cl_cmdrate, cl_interp, giving it 100, 30, 0.2 respectively reduce the massive fps drop at my client, but still suffer from it, anyone else found a workaround to this problem yet?

    Since my Diablo 3 has a pretty similar problem, it prompted me to look for ways to fix D3 and maybe it might help with Dota 2. Here is what i did and it seems to have
    improved (or rather, fixed) the issues we are all experiencing. Hope it helps you guys out! And doesn't break after 2 games, like most of the other "fixes"...
