    Exactly.
As I said, I do not mind if they keep it clientside but then they should offer partial or full refunds.
I do not mind if the payemnt is reverted as steam wallet credit or real cash either, I just want a fair treatment from the company I gave my money to

Imagine you bought a DVD. One week after you get it, the DVD changes so that everyone else watching the TV can't hear the sound. The seller points out that he never said they would be able to, and says you can't have a refund either.

Is this remotely fair or legal?

This is exactly the same as with WarZ when it was removed from Steam Store, they were advertising false features.
They removed the game from the store and ofered refunds why I expect the same in this case.
WarZ costed pretty much the same as this VISUAL item why I expect it to be VISUAL for everyone, like the rest of the itmes of the game.

The description of the product does not say it is clientsided.

I do not care about your opinions about the set or its price, I'm just demanding fair and legal actions for those who bought the item.

On my end, if they make the change permanent I will revert the payment at paypal.
By the way, when people's accounts get banned for cheating or whatever, they lose all their items. Valve owns the items, they're digital, you merely pay for the ability to use them. You don't own them so you can walk away with them.

    P.S.

A lot of people don't use the hero icons anyway, just the color ones. At least I do. So, I could give a crap less about your icon woes.

That isn't even close to a proper analogy.

This is the most stupid argument that anyone can come up with. And unfortunately, the thread is filled with them.

As I've said, items were offering these assets, and offering them to be seen by every player on the game. Every cosmetic in the game are designed and sold as show-off elements, not as client-sided skins. And like I've said before, I would love to have every single cosmetic item to be like this, and be only client-sided skins, but that is not the case. They were sold to be show-off elements on the game, so customers have the right to demand that back when they are taken away without any sort of compensation refund, or a full-refund option handy.

EVEN IF they gave those options, customers still would have the right to have what they've paid for and take legal actions against. Saying "Deal with it!" is not an option for a company. They either have to provide solutions or "deal with it" themselves later on...

What if you pay for a game and the next day they decide you cannot play it anymore?

That's the dumbest analogy I have read in a while (I stand corrected) . Try to pick another that's actually closer to the OP's idiotic issue.

May not be fair but he can't do anything about it either way look at the steam terms of service.
