Having played League of Legends it's something that I miss too.
    It's a good feature.

Just to add something - it makes communication better. Let's say you play as Radiant, and you catch the Dire creeping through the Radiant side Secret Shop. You might want to use retreat ping to signal your carry (farming top) to retreat via the Dire Jungle and teleport out by pinging the route. If you just call 'b', the carry might decide to retreat straight home through the lane, and fall prey to the gank; typing "b by jungle, opp going thru ss" might take far too long. Many people currently use pings to signal the direction of enemy movement, and using a retreat ping likewise can add more ease to team communication.

thumbs down. easier to press enter and B button. then the signals will mix up.

Good idea since "retreat" pings, for example, just pinging behind someone isn't always clear enough.

Pressing enter > b > enter is easier than pinging, are you kidding?

    You really think that?

    I can't possibly see how it's easier:

    1) Ping, press enter, type b, press enter, and ping again

    or

    2) Retreat ping

But, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I just don't understand how it's even close to being easier to type it out.
Also, if you have two different types of pings the signals will never mix up.
