    Hi,

I'm from Vietnam using FPT ISP (one of the three major ISPs in Vietnam, besides VNPT and Viettel as reported above). Since two or three days ago, I have been getting huge increase in ping as well. Before, my ping is consistent at 99-101 to SEA and 40-50 to HK. However, now it's usually 300-400 with massive fluctuations and frequent spikes.

Here is my tracert.png, hope it can help.

Edit: Did a little research. It appears that Hong Kong and SEA are on the same internet cable to Vietnam (Asia America Gateway cable) and this cable has been having issues since yesterday (August 13th). So I guess the problem is not server-side.

Same problem. I'm from VN and I use FPT too. My friends in Vietnam channel have the same problem. Me and my friend's ping is over 200 which never happened before. There are also frequent lag spikes preventing us from playing. I think SEA and HK servers are having problems.
    Sorry for my bad English

The target repair completion date is end on or before Aug 18
As such, gamer may experience some latency issue.

I'm using VNPT, and even before the sub marine cable maintainance I would sometimes get 400ms on SEA and HK server whenever I reset my modem. I had to reset my modem over and over again until my ping on SEA and HK servers return to normal, but now this solution doesn't even work anymore. My ping on China server has always been reliably at 110ms even now during the cable maintainance. Can anyone give me a reliable fix for this problem? Normally I get 50ms on HK server, 100ms on SEA server and 110ms on China server.

    Thank you very much.

You are from India, Thank you for the trace report. We will try our best to optimise the route
Asia Pacific though is a continent and it is not homogeneous.
In Asia Pacific, the telecommunication in each country has their own pace on deregulation which leads to network qualities differentials. The infrastructure is not seamless because there isn’t one Telcos that covered all parts of Asia.
The language and culture are different which pose a great challenge on countries interconnection. Example, A and B are fierce competitors and they prefer not to interconnect at immediate home ground but their networks are mostly interconnected in A Zone/B Zone. This leads to added latency by 30ms. Asia’s telecommunication network infrastructure build up is also slow because the geography are challenging.
    Thank you
