[Confirmed] Tether does not transfer mana heal from Essence Aura

    1. Tether a OD with Essence Aura
    2. Cast Spirits/Relocate (or use items; even Tether proc should heal)
    3. Wisp regenerates Mana but doesnt tranfer it to its partner

Expected Result: Ally should also benefit of Essence Aura mana

In the video I don't see Io gaining mana.

    He was pretty much full.

Doesn't he have to actually GAIN mana to transfer the gain to a tethered ally? Or am I mistaken?

Well I thought that too from just looking at the video but even if Wisp gains mana it still doesn't transfer. Just tested.

If you watch once more you can clearly see that i used Spirits and the missing mana was directly healed by essence aura

Were you at full mana before using spirits? I guess it's possible that it gives the mana before using it, so tether never registers an increase in mana.

This would be quite a discovery!

Well, Wc3 Tether actually check wisp's current HP/mana every 0.02s or so and transfer the positive difference to your ally (this does means that the Overcharge's tick can slightly reduce the gain of a tick, but that's borderline negligible)

So if in a single cast Wisp use and gain back mana instantly (such as with OD's aura) then there's no transfer since the Tether see no difference than the previous check.

EDIT: Ok, confirmed that Essence aura's proc isn't transferred, though I don't know the wc3 interaction .- . couldn't see OD's mana in the video.

Every time someone make a false report.
Making people's losses feel worse with just my name (don't ask me how it work, I certainly don't)

Currently observed Orb(Unique Attack Modifiers), Critical, and Bash interactions for DotA2

People who cry MM isn't fair: Maybe you're not as great as you make yourself to be.
People who wants surrender: It exists, but I'm not teaching you how to do it.

Don't see why you needed a new video, the mana was pretty clear and I even tested it but at least it's undeniable proof.
