'Cause in warcraft 3 it's coded as HP removal and in dota 2 it's coded as Pure but go through magic immunity.

It's not a bug, just need to clarify it's not a HP removal in dota 2. @Wyn-Ryder
Please try to confirm this is an Intended Changes

Wtf are you talking about. Of course, it's a bug. Did you not read the 6.78 change log? Because it is incorrectly programmed in Dota2 is what makes it a bug.
Rupture damage is now HP removal.
Finally decided to "transition" to dota 2. Still does not like moving.

This is most likely intended, judging from what I've seen. It was ment to act like pure damage which ignores magic immunity (and might get changed).
    Please, just call me buny.

I think we should wait until 6.82, they might change it.

IIRC, it's defined as HP removal in Dota 1.

Whereas in Dota 2 it says it's HP removal, but it's not. It acts more like Universal Damage that ignores magical resistance.

Which creates a good question.... Let's assume that this Damage type was a new one; simply Universal Damage that ignored resistance. Are all the interactions correct?

Seems to me that the spell acts 100% like a special form of Universal damage.

Universal damage ignores magic immunity by default.

is probably the same as Universal damage ignoring magical resistance...?
