    System Requirements

    Hi everyone.
    First post here.

I know i have to upgrade to my Mac OS to play but I'm currently wondering if my video card would run Dota2 once I upgrade the OS.

    Specs:
    Macbook Pro (Early 2009 17")
    OS: Snow Leopard
    Proc: 2.66GHz (T9550) Dual Core
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 9600M GT (512mb)
    RAM: 4GB

If my other system spec would run it, I would upgrade the OS. If not, I'd stay on wine in the mean time.

    Thanks.

If Windows is a 10 then mac is a 6 atm

First of all: THANK YOU FOR THAT MAC CLIENT!

Before the Mac-Client I used Bootcamp and it was perfect but... I need to had Bootcamp on my mac.

Now after my first match on the mac client I noticed few things:
I got sometimes hard frame drops - like in a team fight. That's not cool.
The grafic seems to be a bit lower then the grafic from windows.
And the sound is a bit bugged - sometimes it does not play - annoying too.

It's hard to play with these downsides but it works for now.

    Got all settings on high.

    Specs:
    iMac
    2,5 GHz Intel Core i5
    8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

yeah, it's great to have a mac client.. finally ty!

I do have some minor problems concerning the client too

    I can't choose the 16:9 screen option
16:10 works just fine, but i do prefer the 16:9 ratio and that one sadly doesn't react if i try to activate it :/

I had the same FPS problems like most of the other users too, but i just deactivated the steam overlay (as suggested by someone here) and i do have decent FPS now (still not as good as on bootcamp)..

finally i would like to ask a question...
in windows i was able to write an "autoexec" but i am not able to find the necessary folder to do so on OS X.. most likely i am just blind or stupid ^^

    Specs:
    Macbook Retina
    mid 2012

    again ty for the client!

It's great that the proper Mac client is out.. but here's the problem. My Dota 2 always crashes when I start the Mechanics II (Sniper) tutorial. I've come across a bunch of other people who are having the same problem! It's just frustrating because it's unskippable. Audio problems are still present like how it was in Dota 2 Test. It takes minutes for sound to be heard (sometimes up to 15 minutes on Dota 2 Test!).

Pretty disappointed that I waited a long time to play Dota 2 on my Mac only to encounter these problems the day it's released =\

    MacBook Pro Early 2011
    OS X 10.8.4
    2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
    Intel HD Graphics 3000 384MB
    4GB RAM

My game is crashing constantly. Most consistently when I try loading a match after the hero select screen, but it can also crash during any loading process. I've been able to play one game since the Mac client was released a few days ago, really disappointing!!

    MacBook Air
    OS X 10.7.5
    1.6 GHz Intel Core i5
    Intel HD Graphics 3000 288MB
    2GB RAM

Now, I realize I don't have the recommended 4GB RAM, which may be causing my problems. But I've been flawlessly playing the Windows Dota 2 Beta for months using a Wineskin port, and I started playing the Mac test client when it was recently released with no problems. As of July 18th, I can't play the official Mac client OR the test one without it crashing. I deleted the wineskin port, so I haven't tried it again yet.

I hope my low RAM isn't spontaneously going to become an issue, because you can't upgrade it in a MacBook Air.

And when any notice appears(for example, someone of my friends online) fps drops down to 5-10 fps and sound turns off.
