    Graphics on ATI/gallium

    Here are some screenshots illustrating what the Dota 2 test looks like on my system. Most things are being rendered as black for some reason. Mouseover silhouettes reveal that the polygons are being drawn. Some textures can be seen on spell effects such as the TP scroll. 2D content renders with minor glitches. FPS was not measured but I estimate between 10-20 fps at 1920x1200 with all settings turned off/low.

    As a point of reference, the same system/setup plays Heroes of Newerth at 60 fps with no issues and shaders etc. turned most of the way up. I don't know if Valve cares about supporting configurations with open-source drivers, but Valve's competitors definitely do. I could be convinced to buy some of those nice treasure keys if Dota 2 was playable on my system.

    3.7.10-gentoo-r1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri May 17 09:51:26 EDT 2013 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
    Radeon HD 5770

    I will test with the Gallium3D weekend.
    To use Gallium, you need to install the ATI drivers before?

    I tested dota 2 on ati opensource drivers (gallium) and everything worked fine.
    (laptop with 4250/5650M graphics)

    How did the FPS?

    It's still a bit stuttery, but just at times. The FPS goes from 25 (when near the game end and all the heroes are at the fountain) to 60 when farming or when team battles happens.
