Rubick cannot Spell Steal auto-activated Borrowed Time

this interaction cannot be tested in DotA, because there the Borrowed Time is not a stealable spell

When Borrowed Time gets auto-activated, it does not get registered as a spell being cast, therefore making Rubick unable to steal the Borrowed Time with Spell Steal
since Rubick in Dota 2 can actually Spell Steal the Borrowed Time when manually cast, he should be able to steal it when Borrowed Time gets auto-activated as well

Borrowed Time auto-activation should generally be corrected into a true spell cast

this way the other stuff that regards spell casting events, like CotS and Last Word will also be corrected on the way

is there any other examples of how auto-activate skill working on rubick?

In which case this and this should be revised as well, right ?
    Unless those can be stolen.

    It is in "passive" mode.

I don't think this is a general issue, I think this most probably only is about the Borrowed Time right now
the other spells that are mentioned in other threads are not auto-activated spells anyway, they are spells with auto-cast functionality

Borrowed Time, is an auto-activated spell under certain circumstances, and this activation should be counted as a spell cast event, that's all

Shadow Fiend's ulti doesn't get stolen either when it gets used upon death.

Why? It's the same logic. Spell gets automatically activated in certain situation. How can you tell that Borrowed Time isn't working as it should? You said it yourself, it's not stealable at all in DotA1.

Quill Spray doesn't get stolen either.

They're not actually casting the spells in those cases.
Neither SF dying nor Bristleback triggering results in the spells going on cooldown, it is merely a passive effect occurring just like how Storm Spirit's Overload occurs.

On the other hand, Abaddon's ultimate does go into cooldown. Essentianally what happens when he auto activates is is he dispels all debuffs from himself, then casts it. Which is why it also interrupts orders when it is activated (should anyhow, doesn't at the moment in Dota 2 but that's a bug).

This explanation makes the most sense to me anyhow.
